Dynamic silhouette.
The profile features fascinating signature roadster bodystyling with the passenger compartment set well back. With the Vario roof open, the steeply-raked A-pillar and the frameless side windows catch the eye.
The vent grilles on the front wing feature a fin in high-gloss chrome which is reminiscent of the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL.
More muscular than ever: the rear end. Even more striking with the black diffuser, flanked by two integrated, chrome-plated tailpipe trims. Emphasised by narrow tail lamps.
The LED rear lamps feature an array of units arranged horizontally one on top of the other: brake light and tail light at the top, brake light and tail light in the middle, turn signal indicator and reversing light at the bottom. All the elements of the rear lamps are installed under a red glass cover.
The SLC makes its mark and wins hearts with unique details. Leading the way: the striking front with diamond grille, one of a kind with optional pins in chrome and integrated Mercedes star.
The sporty interior design is an invitation to indulge in some open-top driving. Airing the sports seats or the sports steering wheel with perforated grip is sure to attract even more admirers.

An acoustic highlight is the thrilling sound of the standard-specification AMG sports exhaust system. The sound is adaptable via two variable exhaust gas flaps. The sound character varies from restrained to emotionally dynamic, according to the selected DYNAMIC SELECT drive program. Two chrome-plated tailpipe trims with centrepiece provide for the characteristic look.

The AMG interior is also typically sporty. Sports seats upholstered in nappa leather / DINAMICA microfibre and the optional AMG performance steering wheel with a flattened lower section ensure the necessary support and control.
The multifunction steering wheel in black nappa leather with a flattened lower section has been developed for dynamic driving and offers excellent ergonomics combined with outstanding control of the vehicle. Its 3-spoke design, the steering wheel shift paddles in silver and the "AMG" lettering in the clasp trim lend it a performance-oriented look.
The optional AMG performance steering wheel in nappa leather / DINAMICA microfibre is designed for sporty driving manoeuvres. With red contrasting topstitching, silver-coloured aluminium shift paddles and red 12 o'clock marking, it rounds off the interior's signature AMG character to perfection.

Tailor-made for dynamic trips: the AMG sports seats ensure optimum lateral support for the driver and front passenger – particularly in bends. The design boasts expressive sportiness and hallmark AMG quality. The seats feature upholstery in nappa leather / DINAMICA microfibre and a sporty upholstery layout in black nappa leather with inserts in DINAMICA microfibre. Red contrasting topstitching and piping lend the interior racing character.
High-tech cockpit.
The AMG instrument cluster provides the driver with the most important information at all times. The AMG main menu including RACETIMER and AMG start-up display is accessed via a centrally positioned 11.4 cm TFT high-resolution multifunction colour display.
Two dial-type instruments, the speedometer with its 280 km/h scale and "AMG" logo and the AMG-specific chequered flag design all allude to the car's affinity with motor racing. The RACETIMER, which is able to measure and save lap times, also invites the driver to enjoy exciting driving experiences.
A thrilling powerpack.
It owes its dynamism to a 3.0-litre V6 biturbo engine delivering outstanding performance. Low fuel consumption and low emissions add to the pleasures of dynamic driving.
With an output of 270 kW (367 hp) and 520 Nm of torque, the Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 is quick off the mark, while at the same time demonstrating a sense of responsibility with comparatively low fuel consumption and emission figures. Which makes it all the more pleasurable to accelerate it from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds. Cutting-edge injection technology and mixture preparation ensure the excellent performance of the 3.0-litre V6 biturbo engine.
Perfectly built.
The entire vehicle is designed for racing-standard performance. This provides it with supreme agility, impressive precision and excellent lateral dynamics in every driving situation.
Two suspension variants are available for the Mercedes-AMG SLC 43. The AMG sports suspension with its specially-developed AMG front and rear axles is designed for high cornering speeds and agile handling, high lateral acceleration and reduced roll. Enhanced camber stiffness and increased negative camber ensure driving stability and steering precision up to the physical limits.
The optional AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension with adjustable, electronically controlled damping system combines driving dynamics with driving safety and ride comfort. The AMG-specific kinematics and elastokinematics result in very high stability in dynamic cornering and enhanced safety at the physical limits.
Unleashing full-on driving enjoyment.
Greater agility is provided by the mechanically controlled AMG rear-axle differential lock. This reduces slip on the inner wheel on bends without any control intervention by the brakes and improves traction in all driving situations, particularly in sporty driving. It enables perfect acceleration from a standing start, supports the driver when accelerating out of bends and stabilises the vehicle when braking into bends and at high speeds.
Faster, more efficient, more comfortable.
With nine forward gears, the automatic transmission offers the ultimate in efficiency, comfort and dynamics. For the Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 it is available with shortened shift times.
A milestone in transmission technology. With nine forward gears, the 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission provides for more efficient, more comfortable and more dynamic driving. The broader ratio range enables a reduction in engine speed, which enhances ride comfort and reduces noise levels. Fast and smooth gear changing provides a unique driving experience. For dynamic bursts of power, the 9G-TRONIC can skip individual gears when shifting down. Specifically for the Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 it is available with shortened shift times.
Dynamics just as you wish.
AMG DYNAMIC SELECT enables a highly individual driving experience at all times. A choice of five different drive programs means that the driving experience can be tailored to the driver's wishes – from highly comfortable to extremely dynamic. The AMG DYNAMIC SELECT programs "Eco", "Comfort", "Sport", "Sport+" and "Individual" alter the characteristics of the engine, transmission, exhaust system, suspension and steering. In the "Individual" program gears can be selected manually using the steering wheel gearshift paddles ("M" mode).
Perfect hold.
Even the most exciting driving experience needs to be interrupted once in a while. The AMG high-performance brake system delivers excellent stopping power and precise metering.
The AMG high-performance brake system offers outstanding safety and control. Aluminium brake callipers reduce the unsprung masses and provide excellent handling. Internally ventilated and perforated brake disks all round with a diameter of 360 x 36 millimetres on the front axle and 360 x 26 millimetres on the rear axle guarantee excellent response and excellent deceleration performance.
