    Charging at home.

The illustration shows the exterior of the new EQE from Mercedes-EQ.

With the Mercedes-Benz Wallbox, your home becomes a charging station: thanks to the powerful AC charging system the EQE charges at up to 22 kW (3-phase) here – and thus many times faster than via a conventional household socket. With the Mercedes-Benz Wallbox, you also have the option of controlling and viewing charging processes via the Mercedes me app. The installation of the wallbox is carried out for you by our installation partner, who will also advise you on all your questions about charging at home.

    Charging while out and about.

The illustration shows the exterior of the new EQE from Mercedes-EQ.

You can charge the new EQE at countless public AC or DC charging stations. Using the standard charging cable with a charging capacity of 11 kW (optionally even 22 kW) you can charge your vehicle at public charging stations (alternating current) while you are in town or at a restaurant, for example. And on longer routes you can quickly charge the new EQE at the DC fast charging stations (direct current) which are to be found at many motorway service stations, for example. Take advantage of the IONITY high-power charging network, which is represented along all of Europe's major transport arteries. Mercedes me Charge gives you access to one of the world's largest charging networks with over 500,000 charging stations. Authentication at the charging station is very simple via the MBUX system, the Mercedes me app, the Mercedes me Charge card or - brand new for the EQE - with Plug & Charge directly via the charging cable. Furthermore, with Mercedes me Charge, your charging is always green throughout Europe. Mercedes-Benz uses high-quality guarantees of origin to warrant that electricity from renewable energies is fed into the network for charges which flowed via Mercedes me Charge.

    Digital services.

The image illustrates navigation with Electric Intelligence.

The Remote & Navigation Services* bundle together many useful services in a single package. Navigation with Electric Intelligence ensures you have adequate range and provides for optimal planning of necessary charging stops, for example. You can also conveniently call up a lot of information such as the battery's state of charge or the remaining range via the Mercedes me App while out and about. This way, you always have the best information to hand and can relax much better, even if you have a longer trip ahead of you.

To use the services, you must register on the Mercedes me Portal and also accept the Terms of Use for the Mercedes me connect services. In addition, the respective vehicle must be paired with the user account. In order to use the Mercedes me Charge service including Ionity, an additional registration in the Mercedes me Charge User Portal with input of payment information is required. In isolated cases, this may lead to discrepancies between the amount of electricity charged and the amount billed by the mobility service provider, for example. EQ & A

Your questions about electric driving - and our answers.

      • Real electric range

Why is the real electric range often less than specified?

The electric range varies depending on individual driving behaviour, the route profile and environmental factors. You can travel on electric power further if you use ECO Assist to drive with foresight and take advantage of the recuperation and/or gliding function. Auxiliary equipment such as seat heating or the climate control system also has an impact on range.

      • AC and DC charging technology

What is the difference between AC and DC charging technology?

Basically, the batteries of electrified vehicles can only be charged with direct current (DC). However, all household power sockets, the Mercedes-Benz Wallbox and many public charging stations supply alternating current (AC), as do "high-voltage sockets". To make charging possible, vehicles are equipped with an on-board charger – an AC/DC rectifier. It converts the alternating current into the required direct current. It facilitates charging capacities of 2.3 kW to 11 kW (optionally also 22 kW) depending on the AC source.

      • Environmental friendliness

How environmentally friendly are electric cars really?

How environmentally friendly the vehicle is in actual use depends greatly on your driving and charging behaviour. Among other things, the electricity you charge the vehicle with also plays a significant role, i.e. is it actually being charged with "green" electricity or an energy mix? Many public charging stations are supplied with green electricity, and a green electricity contract for domestic users is often only a few clicks away. With Mercedes me Charge you always benefit from green charging throughout Europe. Mercedes-Benz uses high-quality guarantees of origin to warrent that electricity from renewable energies is fed into the network for charges which flowed via Mercedes me Charge.
