The drive components of the EQA.

The EQA owes its athletic performance to the electric powertrain.

The EQA is available in various output levels: choose between the EQA 250, EQA 300 4MATIC or EQA 350 4MATIC as needed.

The EQA 250 has an electric asynchronous motor at the front axle. Together with the cooling system, the performance electronics and the 1-speed transmission with fixed ratio including differential, this forms a highly integrated, compact unit – the electric powertrain (eATS). Models with 4MATIC all-wheel drive have a second electric powertrain at the rear axle. The infinitely variable power distribution improves traction when adopting a sporty driving style and on loose ground.

The high-voltage lithium-ion battery is the high-performance heart of the EQA. It comprises five modules and is located beneath the passenger compartment in the centre of the vehicle.

With its standard automatic climate control the EQA offers high climate comfort. It has ingenious thermal management with a heat pump. With numerous innovative details such as use of the waste heat from the electric drive, the system is configured for high efficiency and thus greatest possible range.
