The E-Class is very efficient thanks to its new-generation 4-cylinder petrol engines. A systematic approach to the development objective - increased output yet reduced consumption - was pursued; and thanks to the BlueEFFICIENCY package of measures, fuel consumption has been reduced by more than 20% over previous models.
