The new AMG V8 biturbo eng. in the CL 63 AMG offers many highlights, incl. direct injection w. spray-guided combustion & piezo injectors, twin turbos w. air/water intercooler, 4-valve techn. w. adj. camshafts, alternator mgmt. and start/stop fn. The performance figures are impressive. Developing 400 kW and a peak torque of 800 Nm, the CL 63 AMG surpasses its predecessor, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 4.5 secs. Fuel cons. and CO2 emissions have been reduced by over 25% to 10.5 l/100 km and 224 g/km.
The AMG sports suspension is based on the active suspension Active Body Control (ABC). The sports star also boasts an AMG high-performance braking system and the AMG sports exhaust system with two twin chromed tailpipes.
Thanks to a distinctive radiator grille with a louvre and side air outlets plus striking side skirts, the CL 63 AMG cuts an extremely sporty figure. The lower cross struts painted in black in the AMG front apron along with the triple-spoke AMG high-sheen light-alloy wheels further accentuate the vehicle's muscular appearance. The overall sporty appearance is rounded off by the dynamic diffuser-look rear apron painted in the vehicle colour and AMG tailpipes in the rear.
The interior welcomes you with brushed stainless steel AMG entrance strips. The AMG sports seats, available in three colour variants, ensures superb lateral support.
And the cockpit, with its unique instrument cluster, also bears the AMG signature. An AMG sports steering wheel with silver-coloured aluminium shift paddles allows you to change the gears of the AMG Speedshift 7G-TRONIC transmission
