At Mercedes-Benz we focus closely on customer requirements. One of the most important of these is the option to match a vehicle to individual operating profiles.
This is possible with the Sprinter thanks to a special low-frame chassis, which forms an excellent basis for high-specification camper van bodies. In cooperation with chassis specialist AL-KO, the Sprinter’s low-frame structure is 205 mm lower than a standard frame, making it ideal for a double floor. It also has the advantage of a low overall height in conjunction with rear-wheel drive.
The double floor capability is linked to multiple design options: It creates additional storage space, e.g. a through-loading facility for bulky objects and room at floor level for thermal and acoustic insulation. Space/weight-intensive components such as water tanks can be accommodated with excellent economy of space.
