Camper van enthusiasts value the sense of security they have in their mobile homes in even the remotest places world. To replicate this feeling when travelling, we have placed a great emphasis on safety equipment for our camper van chassis.

The list of standard equipment includes the latest-generation Electronic Stability Program ADAPTIVE ESP®.[1] This system is load-adaptive, marking a further milestone in camper van safety. ADAPTIVE ESP® is one of many active and passive safety elements. Their interaction ensures a high protection potential.

The rear-wheel drive system also has a positive influence on the driving characteristics of a camper van. With the weight of the body structure on the drive axle, it delivers better climbing performance and improved traction compared with a front-wheel drive vehicle. This ensures an excellent driving experience, even when carrying full loads.

[1] Adaptive ESP® is not available for all body types. In the case of vehicles with ESP®, the body's centre of gravity must lie within a defined range, as per the Mercedes-Benz body/equipment mounting directives. Chassis and frame modifications are restricted if ESP® forms part of the specification.
